A particle is analogous to a chromosome (population member) in GAs. As opposed to GAs, the evolutionary process in the PSO does not create new birds from parent ones. Rather, the birds in the population only evolve their social behavior and accordingly their movement towards a destination.

Therefore, a good feature selection method based on the number of features investigated for sample classification is needed in order to speed up the processing rate, predictive accuracy, and to avoid incomprehensibility. In this project, particle swarm optimization (PSO) is used to implement a feature selection, and support vector machines (SVMs) with the one-versus-rest method serve as a fitness function of PSO for the classification problem.

The popularity of the Internet offers great convenience to the transmission of a large amount of data over networks. Some of them may be secret information which is a candidate to unauthorized access. In order to keep the unauthorized user away, a variety of techniques have been proposed, data encryption and data hiding are two main methods in data security. Data encryption uses a certain algorithm to transform data into ciphertext only the user that has keys can decrypt the secret data from the ciphertexts. For any unauthorized user who does not have a key, the ciphertext will look like nothing but streams of meaningless code. Although data encryption is a good way to secure data, it still has some weaknesses. The appearance of ciphertexts would give unauthorized users an impulse to recover them. Moreover, the unauthorized users might even simply destroy the ciphertext out of range when they have trouble recovering them so that the legal receivers cannot get the data in time. That is the reason why data hiding has been researched recently.

MATLAB code of high capacity steganography for JPEG2000 baseline system

For JPEG2000 compression standard limited redundancy and bitstream, truncation makes it difficult to hide information. To overcome these two problems redundancy evaluation method is used. The redundancy evaluation method determines embedding depth adaptively for increasing hiding capacity. A candidate embedding point will be removed if evaluated quantization redundancy is less than two. For security purpose secret message is encrypted by using an encryption key. But this post is about fake biometric detection application to iris recognition. The problem of fake biometric detection can be seen as a two-class, classification problem where an input biometric sample has to be assigned to one of two classes: real or fake. In the present work, we propose a novel parameterization using 25 general image quality measures. As the method operates on the whole image without searching for any trait-specific properties, it does not require any pre-processing steps (fingerprint segmentation, iris detection or face extraction). This characteristic minimizes its computational load. Once the feature vector has been generated the sample is classified as real (generated by a genuine trait) or fake (synthetically produced), using some simple classifiers. The parameterization proposed in the present work comprises 25 image quality measures both reference and blind. The following YouTube video shows the working of the project.

MATLAB code of high capacity steganography with color image and alpha channel

Hello friends, today posting one project in the field of Steganography. The specialty of this algorithm is it uses alpha channel for secrete data embedding. In this algorithm, the transmitter analyzes the cover (digital image) to determine the color channels and adds the fourth channel (Alpha channel) changing the extension of the image from JPG to PNG with non-pre-multiplied background channel. This transformation of image extension and bit-depth will prepare the cover image to accommodate the secret data. In parallel, the secret image which is a gray image or color image, decomposed to a bitstream using Bit-plane slicing to compress it and decreasing the total amount of data to be embedded, also to convert the image to a sequence of bits that will be more controllable and easy to implement and embed. MATLAB code of Image Enhancement using Brightness Preserving bi-Histogram Equalization

Hello, Friends today posting one project in the field of image processing. The title of the code is Image Enhancement using Brightness Preserving bi-Histogram Equalization. The Brightness preserving bi histogram equalization firstly decomposes an input image into two sub-images based on the mean of the input image. One of the sub-image is set of samples less than or equal to the mean whereas the other one is the set of samples greater than the mean. Then the BBHE equalizes the sub-images independently based on their respective histograms with the constraint that the samples in the formal set are mapped into the range from the minimum gray level to the input mean and the samples in the latter set are mapped into the range from the mean to the maximum gray level.

MATLAB code of Fractal Image Compression

Hello, friends today I would like to post one more project in the field of image compression. The concept is image compression using fractal transform. Fractal image compression is a new technique for encoding images compactly. It builds on local self-similarities within images. Image blocks are seen as rescaled and intensity transformed approximate copies of blocks found elsewhere in the image. This yields a self-referential description of image data, which when decoded shows a typical fractal structure.

MATLAB code of Steganography scheme based on Contourlet Transform

Hello, friends today I would like to post one project in the field of information security. the title of the project is a Steganography scheme based on Contourlet Transform. In this method, embedding is done in a contourlet transform domain. The contourlet coefficients with the larger magnitude that correspond to the edges are selected for embedding. This selection is due to less sensitivity of human eyes to non-smooth regions. Each bit of secret data is embedded by exchanging the value of two coefficients in a 4 times 4 block of a contourlet subband. The proposed method is examined with two strong steganalysis algorithms and the results show that we could successfully embed data in a cover image.

The project is about Abandoned and Removed objects from complex videos. this project includes the following concepts, the mixture of Gaussians background subtraction method is employed. Without using any tracking or motion information, static objects were detected by using the same Gaussian mixture model, and then were classified into abandoned or removed objects by segmenting and comparing the surrounding areas of the background model and the foreground image.

Hello, friends today I would like to post one project in the field of image processing. The main objective of this project work is to detect the region of interest (ROI) by performing various simplest arithmetic operations that are used like morphological operations, segmentation operation. ROI is compressed with a lossless compression comparison technique. Perform lossy compression for the rest of the image. Wavelet-based methods will be used to compress the non ROI area of image i.e the rest of the image. Wavelet is one of the powerful tools used for image compression. JPEG 2000 uses a discrete wavelet transform (DWT) for compression. So, it is proposed to use DWT to compress non-ROI region.

In normal physiological conditions, and RBC is circular in front view and bi-concave inside view. In terms of size, it is 7.5 μm in diameter and 2 μm in thickness. This normal morphology of RBC undergoes specific changes as a consequence of different pathological abnormalities.
